Vehicles / Fleet

The Vehicles / Fleet section lets you manage the vehicles used by your technicians in the field. Each vehicle can be assigned to a driver and carry its own van stock.

When to use it

Use this section to:

• assign a vehicle to a technician so that it appears in the planning ;
• track the van stock carried in each vehicle.

Create a vehicle

This procedure adds a new vehicle to your fleet and links it to a technician.

1. Click New.
2. Enter the vehicle Model.
3. Enter the License plate.
4. Assign a Driver by selecting the responsible technician.
5. Set the Location linked to the vehicle (used for the van stock).
6. Click Save.

Expected result: after saving, the vehicle appears in the fleet list. It is linked to the chosen technician and ready to receive its van stock.

Tip

A vehicle is used for technician scheduling: once the driver is assigned, the vehicle is linked to their interventions. It also carries the van stock of parts and consumables. See the Van stock page for details on tracking.

Caution

Always remember to fill in the Location: without it, the van stock cannot be linked to the correct vehicle. To manage driver technicians, go to the Technicians page.
